Ontem eu estava ‘conversando’ com um rapaz no FB em Portugues, ele serviu uma missao na minha igreja e foi para Boston falando Portugues com os Brasileiros de la. E tambem conheci outro rapaz que esta indo a escola aqui em Utah que e do Brasil e nao tem familia, entao resolvi convidar os 2 para vir jantar aqui.

Perguntei ao primeiro o que gostaria de ter para jantar. Todos que convidei ate aqui, se dada a opcao, pedem feijoada. Ele pediu arroz, feijao e uma carne. Haha, faz tempo que nao faco isso. Instantaneamente na minha cabeca veio a imagem que tive quando era adoloscente e ia a lanchonete da minha segunda mae (mae de coracao) no Brasil. Vi a cozinheira ‘Do’ (Dolores) fazer a bandeja de servir com arroz, feijao e bife. Falando serio, me deu agua na boca. Sabe quando a memoria te leva ate la; voce sente o cheiro, a temperatura do lugar e ouve os barulhos daquele momento? Foi delicioso!

Entao no FB ‘conversei’ com minha amiga/irma de muitos anos que mora no Brasil e pedi receita de fazer carne no fogao, que tem gosto de Brasil.

Estou contente em dizer , que terca feira da semana que vem estou fazendo arroz, feijao, carne, batata frita e ovo…e claro um mousse de maracuja. Estou sonhando com esse jantar, me aguarde :D.

What is easier to focus on, the good things that happen or the bad ones?

Talking to people, the majority of them hold on to the negative and let go of the good.

How about changing that? Start with your thoughts. Thinking positive brings positive words, positive words change attitude, positive attitude increases the altitude we fly at!

Will you think and look for the positive in everything you do today?


God is simple:

We pray – He answers

We obey – He blesses us

We trust Him – He guides us

We serve Him (by serving others) – He helps us

We make mistakes – He forgives us and makes the slate clean

We hurt – He comforts us…

The only complicated part is us choosing to let Him in 😀

Life Is Busy!


Have you ever had those moments that you feel ‘too blessed’ with all that you have going on?

Some people call it overwhelmed…I don’t like that word because it gives the feeling of ‘I can’t deal with everything I got going.’

So, what do you do with that?

I decided that my day is packed with everything I need to have a great day; sometimes it is more than I think I can handle, and then I remember…God equipped me with everything I need to go through life, I’ve got tools that I don’t know how to use because the need has not shown up in my path yet, they are there waiting for their time to shine in their area of expertise.

Instead of overwhelmed and out of fuel to do the day, I get curious and find the best way to make the day happen in a great way!

To start life God has given each of us a brilliant mind, a kind heart and a day with 24 hours in it. What have you done with it so far?

I get my tool kit that came built-in in my hardware and go to work!

I can shine light in dark matters, prayer is powerful in doing that.

I can cut the wires that are giving me anxiety, that are not within my power to re-arrange or to place it elsewhere. Giving it to the Lord speeds up this process like nobody’s business.

I can use the screw driver to tighten up the things that are coming loose before they become a big project. Following promptings avoid lots of crisis before they begin!

I can make solidify plans by using the wrench and making things stand where they should, solid and imovable. Gospel Doctrine is not something to be messed with, God is unchangeable, so should we be when it comes to His Doctrine.

I can use the hammer to pound on the things that need to be moved out of the way of my dreams. Allow God in the day, He is the best miracle worker I know.

You see, I have tools that are good to use and to get the day to go from overwhelmed to a very efficient work shop.

Life is busy! I just get the chance to make it happen in a good way each day I get out of bed and put my tool kit to work.

“Do you know what your tools are? Are you using them?”

Have you noticed that the more faith one exercises, the stronger their faith gets, the more miracles they see and the more answers to prayer they receive?

Have you also notice that the less faith one exercises, the more fear and doubt they find along the way?

I think I am going to stick with faith. How about you?

Are you carrying a heavy load of anger, bitterness, frustration, fear, doubt, grudge, lack of understanding, lack of forgiveness, hatred…?

It affects your mental health and eventually it affects your physical health.

Take a deep breath, pray to God and LET GO! He will take all you are willing to give.

It is just up to you…LET GO and BE FREE!

These verses made me think of how many times have I diminished my personal glory by reverencing or fearing a ‘temporal god’ or a person more than I reverenced the Lord.

I have lowered my personal glory in doing so. that saddens my heart!

I am intelligence, I have light and I am God’s only creation that can act intelligently instead of instinctively. How sad is it to realize that the choice in many times has been fear based.

Enough of that! I am staying in my glory which is God given and I am living the day worshiping my Creator.

Life can be full of demands, we can get overwhelmed with it. Being overwhelmed is not a good program. Just choose to simplify.


Ask smart answers.

Does it do any good to be concerned about this?

Does it affect me or my loved ones in a good way?

Can I do anything to change the situation?

Is it worth investing my time in this project?

Sometimes it is not worth it, it can be let go…



I’ve always learned in the scriptures that charity is the pure love of Christ. A deep and profound love that heals, carries us in the time of need and helps us to become better people.

Yesterday at church a man spoke to us and quoted someone else, it stuck to my mind. So, I thought I would share it with you…

“Charity is love for Christ, love from Christ and love like Christ.” (C. Max Caldwell)

Think about this; when we love Christ we live His teachings, accept His commandments and give thanks for all the blessings and trials in the same breath, with the same depth of gratitude for both, even the hurtful ones.

When we feel the love from Christ, we fell forgiven, empowered, strengthened, healed, anew and at peace.

And last but not least, when we have this kind of love in us, we can love like Christ would; unconditionally, deeply, freely, fearlessly and completely.

Soooo, I thought I would share…there is more to charity than it meets the eye.
