Have you notice that we tend to ‘own‘ everything?

We own our family members, our things and places?

Well, here is a little secret…we don’t own anything!

We will be long gone and everything will be left behind.

People will come with you…their choice of course, but every possession we ever had, will be left somewhere in some journey of yours.

We can’t make our bodies work how we want them to…the only thing we own is our will and if we are smart, we subject that unto God to get anywhere worth going.

Soooo, if we don’t own people or “stuff,” we are not disappointed or angry when things don’t go the way we planned or wanted.

Let’s say you lend your favorite book to someone…they returned it with a few pages missing and the cover is bent.

If you owned that book, you are going to be bent out of shape. It was your favorite, it was lent to a friend and it came back damaged!

If it is God’s book, He knew what was going to happen…He just wondered if you were ok with what happened. How you would handle it…

And if He is ok with what happened, then why shouldn’t we be Ok with whatever the outcome is?

People are more important than things, places and events.

And they too belong to God, not us.

Gratitude Is An Attitude

There are things that happen in life that are hard to give thanks for.

We are self preserving creatures and when things are challenging we tend to protect ourselves as much as we can so we don’t get hurt. By nature, to give thanks for something that is hard or that hurts is not in our DNA.

For life to be easier to handle and for it to be joyous we must develop an attitude of gratitude. When we give thanks even for the hard things that happen, we start to change from inside out. We become stronger, we do things with a positive attitude and we have different insight…better, brighter, happier!

Gratitude is an attitude!

What is your attitude like today?

Life Is Simple

We tend to complicate everything we think by over thinking it; anything that happens to us, by  over analyzing, over emphasizing and over emotionalizing…we tend to react bigger than necessary, actually we should act instead of a knee jerk reaction.

How about we change things up a bit ?

How about we look at the day and simplify everything we can…cut useless steps to projects that seem enormous and overwhelming…look closely, they are there.

How about less time spent on things that are time wasters and make time for the important stuff that has been on the back burner for a while.

How about putting people before things…specially the ones we love most.

See, just by doing those 3 things I changed up a lot.

Will you join me in this simplifying adventure?

Life Without Regrets

Screen Shot 2013-10-25 at 9.41.14 AM

Screen Shot 2013-10-16 at 8.17.31 AMHave you thought about this…the adversary cannot have a family of his own, therefore  he will do his utmost to destroy every family he can?

Have you consider this…God is willing and ready to fight your battles for you with the opposition?

When husband and wife decide to put their minds together (quit arguing about the small stuff and start building a path to travel together with the same beliefs, goals, dreams and courage), their faith becomes stronger and their spirits soar high on the journey of life. That kind of love cannot be bound, destroyed or broken.

How would it be if couples would take the time to put their minds together, open their hearts to each other and let nothing get in the way and trust God to be a part of their marriage? How much more would be accomplished, how many children would grow up knowing who they really are and how weak and powerless would this make the adversary 🙂

“I am in, my husband is in…will you join us in this amazing journey?”
