I love Randy Pausch. He is the author of “The Last Lecture” and this is one of the many great lessons in that book.

Sometimes we work really hard at something and it doesn’t materialize quite as we envisioned. Instead of looking at it as a failure, look at it as a lesson needed, learned and ready to be applied into your life whenever the need arrises.

It is sad to see people give up at the first obstacle that shows up, or the second, or the third. Obstacles are there to bring our very best out! We have all the inside parts to deal with whatever we wake up to every day. Do we find and use those parts to help us?

It is indescribable the feeling of finishing what we started and doing our very best all the way through it. When we stay focused,  discouragement may knock at the door and yet, we refuse to open it. When we have a goal that was originally a dream, it drives us to places we never been, doing things we never done before and experiencing joy we didn’t know existed on this planet.

Enjoying the journey along the way is key!

Now days, I stay the course, I do my very best in all I do (it guarantees zero regrets…that peski question “what if?” is gone from my vernacular) and giving up is not an option. Sure after all I did, sometimes I didn’t get where I wanted to be, however, there are many lessons on that trail and I take every one of them to better my mind and heart, to make me stronger and wiser and to help me find joy in the simple things.

Tenacity is a good thing, it keeps us going! Stay the course. Love much and live life with passion, intensity! Find a good road and keep on going!

Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.
